Pics from the Mekong

Hey guys

Craig is off diving at Mun Island near Nha Trang this morning so I thought I'd better smarten up and finally write a blog post.  I was hoping to have a whole bunch of photos to show off but things are happening way too slooooowly for my liking so, instead, I'll just give you a sneak peak of a few shots from our time in the Mekong Delta (Friday and Saturday last week).

Anyhoo, onto the photos...

Cruising on the river, headed to some of the islands to check out the fruit orchards, bees (below) and listen to some traditional music (we're not fans).

Craig is slightly allergic so I got the honour of holding the bees.  No stings thankfully!

Enjoying being rowed along.  Yes, they make you wear the hats.  Doesn't he look cute?!  ;)

Checking out the floating markets, standing on top of a boat selling pineapples. The old lady (green shirt on left) cut it all up for us so we could have a munch right there and then. So good!

We also visited a noodle making "factory" which was rather interesting. These are the rice papers drying in the sun, getting ready to be cut and bagged.

Well there you have it, a brief update of what we've been up to.  Hope you liked the pics.  I'm off now to have some lunch and do some of this...

... and maybe some of this...

Not necessarily in that order. ;)
